Frank Austin

Director of Finance

Frank serves on the CFAM Investment Team, where he participates in underwriting and evaluating new investment opportunities. Frank’s primary role involves developing an investment thesis on opportunities, conducting due diligence, and underwriting transactions. In addition to participating in deal execution, he is also responsible for portfolio monitoring and financial oversight of existing investments.

Prior to joining the Clear Frontier team in Omaha in 2019, Frank was a Portfolio Manager at Arbor Nutrio and the acting COO-CFO of its wholly owned operating partner, Pacific Gold Agriculture. While at Arbor Nutrio, he was part of a management team that oversaw California’s largest privately held portfolio of pecan assets. Frank joined the industry in 2013 as an analyst at Rothschild & Co., where he worked in their asset management and merchant banking division in New York.

Frank is an active member of Farm Financial Standards Council, the U.S. Agricultural & Applied Economics Association, and the International Association of Agricultural Economists. He holds certificates in private equity valuation from the Private Equity Institute at the Saïd School of Business, Oxford University.
