Angus Selby

Angus began his professional career as Vice President of Commodities at Morgan Stanley.  During this time, he was responsible for restructuring a series of large-scale agriculture investments around the globe.  In 2009, he began working for Altima Partners as the Principal and Portfolio Manager of Agriculture where he played an active role in various policy and developmental aspects of agriculture-related initiatives.  In 2012, Angus was hired as the Senior Principal of Agriculture for the CPP Investment Board (CPPIB).  Throughout his five years at CPPIB, he was responsible for designing and building a multi-billion dollar global agriculture investment portfolio from the ground up.  Most recently, Angus held the position of Managing Director of Agricultural Funds for Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets Investments Ltd.  

With nearly two decades of experience in the global agricultural sector, Angus Selby brings a vast array of knowledge and expertise to the CFAM team.  Born and raised on a family farm in Northern Zimbabwe, he truly has had a passion for agriculture and farming his entire life.

Angus earned his Doctorate and Master’s Degree in Philosophy from the University of Oxford after graduating from the University of London with his Bachelor of Science (First Class) in Agricultural Business Management. In addition to these academic achievements, he was nominated as a Nuffield Farming Scholar and currently serves as a trustee of the Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust.
